NEW BEER IN LIMBURG! Think Blink

THINK BLINK (alc. 6.5% vol). SMAAK/AROMA: THINK BLINK, met een mooie roze kleur en een mooie witte schuimkraag, zal je verwelkomen met fruitige aroma's bij het openen van de fles. De eerste slokjes trakteren je meteen op fruitige/citrussmaken door het toegevoegde veenbessensap in combinatie met een lichte bitterheid, een lichte aardse toon, een subtiele zoetheid en een verre lichtzure toets. De afdronk is licht bitter en fruitig. Een bier dat perfect is voor de warmere lente- en zomermaanden, maar ook een mooi bier als aperitief op elk moment van het jaar. Best geserveerd 6°C.

WIST-JE-DAT?: THINK BLINK is een project van Ellen Vanderlinden en Leen Biesemans. Deze BRAUWers hadden een zot (of misschien niet zo zot) idee tijdens oudjaar om een bier te brouwen en aandacht te schenken aan de sterke vrouwen in de samenleving. Het idee was om te brouwen rond Internationale vrouwendag en het bier te lanceren in mei, op tijd voor moederdag. Het brouwproces werd ondersteund door meesterbrouwer Joris Mentens van BRAUW en ingrediënten werden gebruikt met een duidelijke referentie naar vrouwen. Pink Boots hop blend from Yakima Chief Hops, veenbessen sap toegevoegd voor het bottelen en rode bietensap in de gistingstank om een mooie roze kleur te verkijgen.

WIST-JE-OOK-DAT?: Veel aandacht werd ook geschonken aan de naam van het bier en het etiket om het plaatje compleet te maken. THINK BLINK, met referentie aan “Blink”, een Marvel Comics superheldin dat ook vertegenwoordigd is in het design van de heldin op het etiket. Met de slogan “BREWED BY SHE BRAUWERS” is er ook een verwijzing naar de SHE-Hulk karakter, het nichtje van Bruce Banner oftewel The Hulk, een succesvolle advocate uit Los Angeles, werkzaam in het opkomende gebied van "bovenmenselijk recht". Verras mama deze maand met een alternatief kadootje. Een gedeelte van de opbrengst gaat trouwens naar het goede doel ter ondersteuning van vrouwen & hun rechten.

THINK BLINK (alc. 6.5% vol). TASTE/AROMA: THINK BLINK, with its lovely pink colour and a nice white head, hits you with fruity aroma’s upon opening the bottle. The first sips treat you immediately to fruity/citrus flavours due to the added cranberry juice in combination with a light bitterness, a light earthy note, a subtle sweetness and a distant light sour touch. The aftertaste is slightly bitter and fruity. A beer which is perfect for the warmer spring & summer months but also a nice beer as an aperitif any time of the year. Best served 6°C.

DID-YOU-KNOW?: THINK BLINK is a project by Ellen Vanderlinden and Leen Biesemans. These BRAUWers had a crazy (or maybe not so crazy) idea during New Year's Eve to brew a beer and pay attention to the strong women in society. The idea was to brew around International Women's Day and launch the beer in May, in time for Mother's Day. The brewing process was supported by master brewer Joris Mentens from BRAUW and ingredients were used with a clear reference to women. Pink Boots hop blend from Yakima Chief Hops, cranberry juice added before bottling and beetroot juice in the fermentation tank to obtain a beautiful pink colour.

DID-YOU-ALSO-KNOW?: A lot of attention was also paid to the name of the beer and the label to complete the picture. THINK BLINK, with reference to “Blink”, a Marvel Comics superhero that is also represented in the design of the heroine on the label. With the slogan “BREWED BY SHE BRAUWERS” there is also a reference to the SHE-Hulk character, the niece of Bruce Banner aka The Hulk, a successful lawyer from Los Angeles, working in the emerging field of "superhuman law". Surprise mom this month with an alternative gift. Part of the proceeds goes to charity to support women & their rights.
